What are the benefits of a Subscription plan?
A Subscription plan has simpler packaging, flexible billing options, automatic software updates and user account management features.
How much more is a traditional license as compared to a subscription license?
Subscription licenses are typically about one-third the cost of a traditional license for the first year.
How are Term licenses different from a Subscription plan?
The software running on your computer is the same. Term licenses are the traditional way to purchase SPSS Statistics in 12-month increments. Software authorization codes are required that lock the license to your computer.
How are Perpetual licenses different from a Subscription plan?
The software running on your computer is the same. Perpetual licenses are the traditional way to purchase an SPSS Statistics permanent license. After the first year, annual support and product updates are available at approximately 22% of the purchase price (optional). Software authorization codes are required that lock the license to your computer.
How can I find out what module comes with what edition?

What are the software requirements for a Subscription plan?
Software requirements are the same for a subscription as a traditional license – SPSS Statistics is compatible with Apple macOS version 10.10 or higher and Microsoft Windows 10 (or later).
If I already have a traditional license, can I switch to a subscription license?
Yes, please talk to your DAI Source sales executive.
Can I mix subscription and traditional licenses?
Subscription license users can be mixed with traditional license users but each user must be licensed with one or the other.
Do I have to be online to use my Subscription application?
The SPSS Statistics paid Subscription plan can be used offline, but it requires a user to authenticate their license at least once every two weeks. After 14 days of offline access, the application will stop functioning until an internet connection is established and you log in with your IBMid. A working internet connection is required for this step. We recommend that you download the free trial subscription to ensure compatibility prior to making a purchase.
Will my data be stored in the cloud?
When you purchase SPSS Statistics Subscription, the only information in the cloud is the information required to manage your subscription account. All functions and data processed within the application are run on your machine and not in the cloud.
